Argyle School Project by echoic

Argyle School

The Argyle Joint-Use School represents a major step forward for education in Regina, uniting two former 1950s-era schools into one forward-looking facility designed for today and tomorrow.

Delivered in partnership with the Regina Public School Division and the Regina Catholic School Division, the $36 million project shows what two school systems can achieve when they share a single vision.

Spanning 118,941 square feet, the shared campus is home to two distinct Pre-K to Grade 8 schools, each designed for 400 students, along with a 51-space child-care centre and welcoming community areas. The result is a vibrant educational hub that supports students, families, and the wider neighbourhood.

At the heart of each school is a bright, two-storey student commons featuring a terraced amphitheatre stair and a flexible performance area. Modern, adaptable classrooms and dedicated collaboration zones support learning further, encouraging creativity, teamwork, and innovation.

Sustainability was a key focus. Energy-efficient systems and environmentally responsible design choices lower operating costs while providing healthier spaces for students and staff. Expansive outdoor learning environments, a shared mini-gym, and a community kitchen extend learning and wellness beyond the classroom and into the community.

For this project, our team at echoic supplied student desks, shaped activity tables, flip-top tables, mobile tote storage, window shades, and portions of the seating throughout the facility. These pieces help create flexible, functional, and engaging spaces that align with the school's vision for 21st Century Learning.

By combining flexible design, modern amenities, and a commitment to innovation, the Argyle Joint-Use School delivers a dynamic, student-centred environment built to serve Regina for generations to come.
